Math Escape (listed on the App Store as “Math Escape: Speed Run”) is made by Ankharis Ltd (United Kingdom).
Math Escape has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and it never asks for your name, email address or location. The app doesn’t send anything to Ankharis Ltd. The only things that leave your device go to Apple services that you control: iCloud and Game Center.
Your settings (difficulty, sound, music and iCloud sync), your high scores, the achievements you’ve unlocked, and your practice statistics (how many questions you’ve answered, your best streak, and which sums you find hardest, which the app uses to choose questions). All of this is stored only on your iPhone or iPad and is removed when you delete the app.
If you turn on iCloud storage in Settings, your high scores, achievements and practice statistics are also saved to your own iCloud account using Apple’s iCloud key-value storage, so they stay the same across your devices. This data is stored by Apple in your iCloud account. Ankharis Ltd can’t see it. Turn the setting off to stop syncing.
If you’re signed in to Game Center, your scores are submitted to the Math Escape leaderboard and your achievements are reported to Game Center. Apple runs Game Center, and your Game Center nickname and scores may be visible to other players as described in Apple’s Game Center settings. The app doesn’t receive your Apple ID or contact details. You can sign out of Game Center in the Settings app.
Optional tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Ankharis Ltd never receives your payment details. The app only learns that a purchase succeeded, so it can say thank you.
The app may occasionally show Apple’s standard “rate this app” prompt. Apple handles the prompt and any rating you give.
There is no advertising in Math Escape. The app does not track you across other apps or websites, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not include any analytics or crash-reporting software, and does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Math Escape is an arithmetic game that people of all ages play. Because it collects no personal information, no personal information is collected from children either.
Because we don’t hold any data that identifies you, there’s nothing for us to find, export or delete. To remove everything Math Escape keeps, delete the app, and turn off iCloud storage in its Settings first if you also want to stop syncing. Game Center data is managed through Apple.
